It's been a month since we took delivery of our second CNC router, this one based in our Birmingham building, giving us the ability to deliver faster turnaround times for customers in the Midlands as well as supplementing our existing fabrication team in Hampshire.

Having worked with AXYZ before, this was a relatively simple investment decision, as IEP already knew the capabilities of the machine and the benefits it would deliver.

Safety is our No 1 priority at IEP, so safe operation is ensured by a series of light guards which keeps the operator away from rapidly moving parts.

The first components rolled off the machine the afternoon after completion of training, eliminating the need for costly transport between our two sites.

IEP MD Steve Barnes commented: "Our existing CNC router is a workhorse and is hardly ever idle. 2022 is already looking to be a busy year, and the pipeline in 2023 is equally exciting, so it was vital that we invest in additional infrastructure to meet the market's needs."

With this machine going into IEP's Birmingham site, he commented: "We've looked at our two existing sites against anticipated demand for the next three years and have decided that the only way to meet that growth is by investment in both Hampshire and Birmingham. With further investment in new machinery planned, we will continue to offer the market the very best service - as we have become renowned for."
